Enhanced Public Participation Act

Requires project applicants to provide a comprehensive plan to the DEC for public feedback on proposed facilities intended to be sited in disadvantaged communities.
Safe Personal Care and Cosmetics Act
S.4265 (Webb) / A.6969 (Glick)
Bans the worst toxic ingredients in personal care and cosmetic products, focused on those that are disproportionately harmful to women and people of color.
PFAS in Menstrual Products
S.3529A (Fernandez) - Passed / A.5990A (L Rosenthal)
Regulates the sale and distribution of ingredients in feminine hygiene products to exclude restricted substances or unsafe chemicals e.g., PFAS, mercury, and formaldehyde.
PFAS in Antifogging Sprays and Wipes
S.992A (Hoylman-Sigal) - Passed / A.5363A (Gallagher)
Bans PFAS in anti-fogging sprays and wipes, which can pollute the air and surfaces through their use.
Multi-sector PFAS Ban
S.5648A (Hoylman-Sigal) / A.3556A (Zebrowski)
Bans PFAS in textile articles, rugs, fabric treatments, cookware, ski waxes, architectural paints, or cleaning products, or a component thereof.
Packaging Reduction & Recycling Infrastructure Act
S.4246 (Harckham) / A.5322 (Glick)
Requires manufacturers to take responsibility for their products throughout their entire product life cycle, by bearing the cost of properly recycling their packaging and printed paper.
